So I've officially picked up painting Urinetown for AU this Fall. They're actually offering me the entire season, which is three shows. I know I want to do the first two, but I feel like I could probably get a better gig for March than the one they are offering. I dunno. Mebbe I should take it. Imagination has me down for props for their November show (which is Dr. Suessish), and Arena keeps emailing me with random gigs.
It's nice being in demand. :)

The slacker in me is praying that things are closed tomorrow. The scenic artist/workaholic is praying to whatever god is listening that Greenburg is open. I cannot afford to lose a day on this show.

Over the past two years I've started to seriously cook. In the last six months I've started cooking on a semi regular basis. The more I do it, the more I like it. Half the time I don't even use a recipe. It's easier to bs something with whatever's in the kitchen.
Living at home is plus, too, because there's always either frozen steak, chicken, or fish in the freezer. Keeping a bag of precooked frozen shrimp around has proven useful, too. I really like using ramen noodles, and adding veggies and marinated meat. Today I made white rice with chicken, which was marinated/basted with a mixture of fresh grated ginger, light soy sauce, hoison sauce, and garlic. I wanted to add mushrooms and other veggies, but we didn't have much in the house except onion. Onions are good though, cuz they soak up flavour.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fantastic chef. So far though, everything's been at least decent, if not pretty good. And quick. It makes me feel very... satisfied. This is one of the life skills I really enjoy.
I guess I just really like that fact that I can eat for free (yay parents!), eat what I want, and eat at least somewhat healthy like. Yay saving money! :D
But boo cleaning up... ^^;

Yay 2007! Yay for working for a new company.
I just gotta say, the scene shop for the Shakespeare Theatre is HUGE. As in, take Imagination's shop, and double it. At least. The paint area is ginormous, and is it's own separate room. It's so well equipped! There's two thirds of a car hanging from the ceiling in the scene shop. It made me nervous to stand under it.
Anyway, I'm working there again tomorrow, and possibly Thursday, and possibly part of next week. *squees with excitement*
Anywho, I had a FANTASTIC new years eve! Got all girlyified, wore a pretty red dress (thanks Audrey!), and partied. It was fun. Gotta say, it was kind of a relief to put on my paint clothes today and get all grungy and dirty. I couldn't be girly everyday.
Been having trouble sleeping. Boo... Haven't been eating right. It's kinda weird. Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight. Mmm... sleep.

I totally typed "aloud" first instead of "allowed". I'm so ashamed, and I had to share.
Lost + Quiet house + Late at night + Za - Anyone else = Freaked out Za.
Therefore,
Za = Dumb, because this is what happened the last time I watched Lost by myself till the wee hours.

So I made a whiney post about work, and the next day MC brings up "Cinderella" again, albeit in a kind of unofficial way, and AU contacts me about the Hamlets.
There's no way I can do both these shows at once plus take classes and work at MC Munchies without dying.
YES! I am so ready for this!!! :D
Did I mention school is in question for next semester?
